Meet Hayley

Hayley

Hayley is originally from England.

When Hayley was just 13 years of age, she was very clear about the direction she wanted to take with her life- she wanted to become a hairstylist, and she got her first job in hairdressing as a Saturday girl. By age 17 she was a fully qualified hairdresser. She received her NVQ3 in 2007. And today as an adult in her 20’s, Hayley is so happy she followed her dream to become a stylist.

During her career, Hayley has developed a belief system. She believes in being inspired by others- but not copying them. “You are born unique, don’t live copying others. I love making people feel they are one of a kind, and beautiful.” says Hayley. She can help bring out each individual client’s uniqueness by personalizing each cut and color. She also believes that being a hairdresser is not just about doing hair- it’s about giving the client a relaxing, stress free experience. “You need a friend that you can rely on, to advice you in the best possible way, and that you feel comfortable talking to.” And, another strong belief is to love what you do. “I love my job and that shows in all of my work. When you love to do something, you don’t get bored or complacent.”

Hayley specializes in cutting, color, styling and hair up- she loves designing hair up styles for special occasions.
London and Manchester have been her hot spots for learning and she has attended many advanced cutting, creative cutting, colour correction, advanced coloring and creative colouring classes in these cities.

Antoinette Beenders has been one of the biggest inspirations for her hairdressing, as well as Luke Walton.
Hayley loves learning about different cultures, which she infuses into her hairdressing. “From African tribes to cosmopolitan cities, there is so much to be influenced by when you’re a creative person. Visiting New York was incredible as it is so modern and has so many different life styles and images. I love the hyperactive buzz. Singapore was so different to New York but just as inspiring. By walking through the streets you can get a taste for so many different countries and religions that live in harmony with each other.” These worldly observations influence her creatively, which she puts back into her hairdressing.

When not doing what she enjoys best- hairdressing- you can find Hayley outdoors quad biking and off roading.
